Let me introduce myself: My name is Jordon Marie Distad and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor for the state of Ohio. I will start by sharing that I love what I do, working with and connecting with my clients is my passion. I work with children, adolescents, college students, and adults, couples and families. Everyone is unique regarding their personal goals, desires for change, and what they envision for their life and their world. I enjoy partnering with my clients on their journey to become their best selves, and live their best life. 

There is often a misconception with the role of therapy, and sometimes this involves judgement and misunderstandings. You do not need to be "broken" or "desperte" to enter into therapy. Our clients, with varying backgrounds and life experiences. embark on the therapeutic journey for many reasons- mainly, they are seeking help with a difficult phase of life, direction with a difficult or complex relationship, support and guidance with a difficult decision, or simply- needing a private and safe place to to share, express and process emotions. I would like to learn about you! This session- this space- this time- is about you and what you need. I enjoy getting to know my clients, and getting "below the surface" to look deeply at the issues and concerns brought forth. Who are you? How do you present yourself to the world? Who are you REALLY, beneath all of that? This is where I like to begin, and the journey unfolds! I work with my clients on deeply knowing themselves, examining together current circumstances, exploring options and dreams. No one should be in survival mode, at least not for long! I hate to sound like a cliche, but life is a journey with so many ups and downs. Please- don't ever think you have to do it alone. I look forward to connecting with you.
