I enjoy working with, and have had experience with, many diverse populations. I have a special interest in working with clients who need longer term support. I work with clients with chronic anxiety, severe depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, Bipolar Disorder, dissociative disorders, psychotic disorders (such as Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective Disorder), Borderline Personality Disorder, and other personality disorders. These clients are frequently underserved in the community. Some clients work with Community Mental Health agencies and may be searching for other options. I, along with Aurora Counseling and Consulting, would like to expand resources and options for these clients and their families. I enjoy supporting clients with long term mental health issues, and their families, to navigate through stressors and connect with needed resources and support. I have experience working with clients with long term mental health concerns both in residential and private practice settings, with individual, group, and family therapy.

I also enjoy and have experience working with children, adolescents, and families. These clients often have unique concerns such as anxiety related to school, bullying, social struggles, conflict with peers and within the family system, and more. I enjoy working closely with children, adolescents, and families to overcome challenges and live joyfully.

I have completed two training programs in Gestalt Therapy. My treatment approaches include Person-Centered Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Psychoeducation with symptom management, the Structural Dissociation Model for Trauma (a combination of Internal Family Systems and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy), Trauma Model Therapy, and Neuroscience-informed CBT for anxiety and PTSD.

I am skilled and experienced in working with clients with short-term life stressors and clients with longer term and more complex issues. It is so critical to have a good fit and a connected working relationship between client and therapist. I look forward to connecting with you on your journey to wellness, being your best self, and living your best life.
